The altitude and the rocky ground are the founding elements
In the heart of the Castello di Albola estate, in a remarkable position that makes the steep slope called Solatìo magical for its exposure to the full light of the south-easterly sun, there is a parcel of just under one hectare planted with Sangiovese. The altitude, which varies from 550 to 580 metres, and the rocky soil are the fundamental elements of Il Solatìo, an exquisite Chianti Classico Gran Selezione. The pure class of this wine lies in its elegant aromas enriched with rarefied spicy notes, the finest tannins and a linear, composed palate, making it the most well-defined expression of the grape.
